Yeah, this is a hard time to be trying to find a job when you're an editor. I was one of the earlier layoffs, back in August, and finding a job in New York City right now is not looking like it's going to happen. Here's hoping freelancing pays the bills, and in the meantime, I'm thinking it's time to go back home to the family farm and live off the land again.

Sorry to hear that, Stacy -- I imagine this is a baaaad time to be looking for work just about anywhere. But family farms are a nice option; that's how I met Christopher. He'd come back home to work on his family's dairy back in the early zeroes.

I salute the “discount” cocktail trend. It gives people with tight budgets a chance to still explore cocktails that would otherwise be on the no list because of price. Not so much a fan of the “super discount” cocktail trend, however; “Popov Budget Buster Martinis” doesn’t sound good, but it’s a popular trend in Michigan.
